One Love Skate w.YWAM 1.20.12

Wednesday and Friday of this past week,
we were at Keopuolani Skatepark.
We had a lot of fun teaming up with Y.W.A.M. by skating, doing One Love interviews, and giving away Bible's, stickers, and two skateboard decks.
Sam Peralta connected us with the YWAM crew.

Wednesday, we gave away a deck to one of the skaters who broke his board that day.

Friday, Benaiah led a game of NINJA for a free One Love Skate deck.

Before the game started, I got to share with the kids, "Because God has been loving to us by giving us Jesus Christ, we want to be loving to our community and bless you guys here at the skatepark."

I shared 1 John 4:9, we prayed, and the game began:
After praying, we started NINJA
Winning ninja Chop
Winner of a new One Love Skate Deck
Please pray that the seeds that were sown that will result in lots of fruit that remains for God's Glory (John 15:5).

Benaiah passed out about 15 of our One Love Skate Bibles, and he also helped us pass out a bunch of stickers and tracts too... The YWAM crew used our cameras to do One Love interviews, plus they talked to a bunch of people about Jesus this past week at the skatepark and also at UHMC and Baldwin High.

In typical One Love Skate fashion:
As we took pictures and videos at the skatepark, we gave people the One Love Tract found here (Feel free to print and share any of these tracts: http://www.oneloveskateoutreach.com/page12.html).

The One Love tracts we passed out at the skateparks have the link for Oneloveskateoutreach.com where the videos and pictures eventually make their way... But more importantly OneLoveSkateOutreach.com helps people understand out what One Love really is. Hopefully, as people log on to see their pictures and videos, they can meet the Creator of the Universe who has shown us what love really is (1 John 4:9).

Please pray that people find out what One Love really is through God's church, and that God will transform the skateparks and our island as people meet Him. Thanks for praying.

Also, if you don't know Jesus as your King and Rescuer, check this out.

Grace and Peace,
Josh

One Love Skate 2012 - 3 Ways to Be A Part of the One Love Movement

What's up recipients of God's love?
Hope your 2012 is off to a good start. It's fun to see God continuing to work through the tracts, t-shirts, stickers, and videos of OneLoveSkateOutreach.com. It's a blessing to see people rocking One Love boards and merchandise around Maui as well=) This blog talks about what's been going on lately as well as 3 Ways you can be part of the One Love Movement in 2012.

Special thanks to those of you who have been faithfully supporting OneLoveSkateOutreach.com through your prayers, posting of OneLoveSkateOutreach.com videos on your social media sites, and even through your financial support of One Love Skate to PBC. Gospel seeds are continuously being sown with what I believe will be results beyond which we'll ever see in this lifetime (Colossians 1:6).

It's been a while since I've updated the blog or the website, and hopefully with help from others the OneLoveSkateOutreach.com will get revamped in the near future... Iamsecond.com has some great videos on it as well, and I'm trying to find some .html code to post our One Love videos in a similar way. I love to see God's church working together to get God's message out as they live God's truth.

Lately, I've been striving to love God, my wife, my growing family, and Pukalani Baptist Church well. Also, I've been working at Orange Leaf in Kahului to help end hunger on Maui! On October 19, 2011, mine and Nicole's lives changed very significantly with the birth of Caleb Kaleo Marburger.
1 John 4:9 is even more amazing now that I have a son.

"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him."

On the forefront of 2012 is One Love Skate becoming an official MCBA ministry. Moving from being only a ministry of Pukalani Baptist Church to becoming an official ministry of the Maui County Baptist Association is a big step in working together with more of God's church on Maui. We'll also have some official MCBA funds to spend as well as new systems and accountability for receiving and keeping records of donations to One Love Skate. Moving from being only a ministry of Pukalani Baptist Church to becoming an official ministry of the Maui County Baptist Association is a big step in working together with more of God's church on Maui.

We'll also continue to be teaming up for evangelism with different parts of God's church on Maui who hold to the Bible being the Word of God and Jesus being the Son of God.

Here's a Gospel Presentation from Pastor Rick Nagura of Calvary Chapel Upcountry that we made last year, and more of these types of videos will hopefully be coming in 2012:

3 Ways you can be a part of the One Love movement in 2012:
- Pray for God to work (That Maui would experience God's love through God's people living God's Word)
- Post at least two One Love Skate videos a month using Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, or other Social Media
- Put a One Love Skate sticker on your car, laptop, or other significant place and give One Love Skate tracts to people who talk to you about it!

Rep the King Church (2 Corinthians 5:20),

p.s. One of the better One Love Skate days in 2011 was described in this blog post. Enjoy: http://oneloveskateoutreach.blogspot.com/2011/07/new-one-love-skate-video.html
